Body of Azerbaijani citizen killed in Kyiv to be repatriated

"Yesterday at approximately 10:00 p.m., as a result of a drone attack on Kyiv, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Abbas Abbasov, born in 1978, was killed."

This was stated in response to an inquiry from APA by Aykhan Hajizada, head of the press service department of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He reported that the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine is providing appropriate consular assistance in connection with the transportation of the body of the deceased Azerbaijani citizen to his homeland.

Let us note that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on the social network X that among those killed as a result of the Russian attacks on Kyiv there is a citizen of Azerbaijan.
