Turkey and Azerbaijan sign defense contracts worth $500 million

Turkey and Azerbaijan signed defense contracts worth more than $500 million at the ADEX 2026 exhibition in Baku.

According to the published information, the agreements provide for the purchase of 14 HÜRKUŞ-II training aircraft. The first deliveries are reportedly expected as early as this year.

In addition, the agreements provide for:

• ASELSAN — the ALP-100 radar station (memorandum of understanding);

• BAYKAR — the supply of MIZRAK unmanned combat modules;

• BAYKAR — the supply of the “Antidote” system;

• ROKETSAN — the supply of the BARBAROS coastal defense system.
