Aliyev: If we had given in to emotions, a third Triumphal Arch would probably rise today in the center of Irevan

We do not need an eternal war, this was not our choice.

President Ilham Aliyev said this, speaking at the VIII Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party.

"In the Second Karabakh War, we stopped at the right time, and in September 2023 we also stopped at the right time. Although there were various options," the head of state noted.

"But the factors of foresight, strategic thinking and consideration of the main interests of our people dictate precisely such a policy. There is no place for emotions in politics. If we had given in to emotions, then today, probably, a third Triumphal Arch would rise in the center of Irevan," President Ilham Aliyev emphasized.
