Araik Harutyunyan Sentenced to Life Imprisonment
In the ongoing trial at the Baku Military Court involving Armenian citizens, the verdict for the accused is being read out.
According to the verdict, the accused Araik Harutyunyan has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
A. Harutyunyan was the penultimate leader of Armenian separatists in Karabakh.
It should be recalled that the prosecutors representing the state also requested life imprisonment for the accused.
It is worth noting that the reading of the verdict continues in the trial of citizens of the Republic of Armenia, who are accused of crimes against peace and humanity as a result of Armenia's military aggression, war crimes including the preparation and conduct of aggressive war, genocide, violation of the laws and customs of war, as well as terrorism, financing of terrorism, violent seizure of power, its violent retention, and the commission of numerous other crimes.
As a reminder, the trial began on January 17, 2025. On December 26, the judicial panel retired for deliberation.
