President Ilham Aliyev Discusses Sentences Handed to Leaders of Illegal Separatist Regime on France 24

These are the leaders of the separatist regime that operated illegally on our territory – on the territory of the sovereign Azerbaijani state, recognized by the entire international community, including Armenia.

As reported by AZERTAC, President Ilham Aliyev stated this in Munich while responding to a question from a France 24 correspondent about the harsh punishments handed down by a military court to 13 individuals from the Karabakh region, including a life sentence for the former leader of the separatist regime.

"For many years, these individuals were the masterminds behind all military crimes against Azerbaijanis and Azerbaijan, and they have been held accountable. They were detained in Karabakh as a result of our military operation and brought to justice. They were provided with lawyers. The trial was conducted with complete transparency. Their crimes were proven by numerous witness testimonies. There can be no question of any violations committed against them," the head of state emphasized.
