Trump claims that thanks to him, Tehran will never get nuclear weapons, and oil will 'start flowing' soon
US President Donald Trump claims that 'thanks to him,' Tehran 'will never get nuclear weapons,' and oil will 'start flowing' very soon. The head of the White House wrote about this on Truth Social.
'With or without Iran's help, it doesn't matter to me,' he noted.
In another post, Trump demanded that Iran not charge tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz: 'There are reports that Iran is charging tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz - they'd better not do that. And if they are doing it, they'd better stop immediately!' According to him, Iran is 'doing a very poor job' of allowing oil to pass through the Strait of Hormuz: 'Some would say even dishonestly. This is not what we agreed on!'
On the night of April 8, the US and Iran reached an agreement on a two-week truce. Authorities in Tehran expressed readiness to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. At the same time, Iran plans to control the waterway and charge fees to ships passing through it.
After the announcement of the ceasefire regime, only a few vessels, including two tankers under the Iranian flag, passed through the strait, according to data from the analytical company Kpler.
