Pashinyan: Citizens feel peace more strongly than we expected

During meetings with citizens in Yerevan and the regions, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that they feel peace more strongly than the government had anticipated.

According to Armenpress, the Prime Minister made this statement during a discussion in the National Assembly on the report on the implementation of the Government Program of the Republic of Armenia (2021-2026) for 2025 and its results.

“The citizen primarily feels peace psychologically and spiritually because there is peace in the country. Instead of the nervousness, tension, and anxiety that we always experienced, we now feel peace, and I think citizens also intuitively understand that the health insurance system, pension increases, and so on are not directly but indirectly linked to peace,” the Prime Minister said.

Pashinyan emphasized that without confidence in peace and with the government expecting a new escalation, it would not have allocated so much funding to social sectors at once. “Peace has created opportunities for economic growth. Citizens feel peace more strongly than we expected,” Pashinyan noted.
