Reuters: USA and Iran may sign an agreement soon

An agreement between the USA and Iran may be reached soon, with negotiations in the final stage.

This was reported by Reuters, citing a Pakistani source in the security field.

According to the source, the parties have made progress through backchannel diplomacy, and an upcoming meeting could conclude with the signing of a memorandum of understanding. It is expected that a full-fledged agreement will be concluded within 60 days after that. The agency writes that the parties have already reached fundamental agreements, while technical details will be finalized later.

A source in diplomatic circles told Reuters that a key mediating role is being played by the Commander of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, Asim Munir, who has been holding talks in Tehran since the middle of the week and has managed to achieve progress on a number of complex issues.
