72-year-old legendary actor and director Jackie Chan will begin shooting a new film in the "Armour of God" franchise, which will take place, among other places, in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.
The project, titled "Armour of God IV: Ultimatum," will be the star's first work in Central Asia and is scheduled to begin principal photography in July, with the film's worldwide release expected in the second quarter of 2027, reports 1news.az citing Variety.
According to the plot, the film will continue the story of the Asian Hawk hero, who once again finds himself drawn into a dangerous mission involving the hunt for an ancient artifact with a bounty of more than 20 million dollars. Filming will take place in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, which, according to the creators, will expand the visual geography of the franchise.
J. Chan notes that this is his first project with Kazakh partners, emphasizing that the locations in the region open up new creative opportunities and he plans further cooperation.
Recall that the "Armour of God" franchise started in 1986 and currently includes 3 released films. It is one of the most recognizable adventure action series in Jackie Chan's career, combining elements of action, comedy, and classic "Indiana Jones-style" adventure.
