Baku to host II World AI Week USA

This year, the Azerbaijani capital will host the II World Artificial Intelligence Week (World AI Week) USA.

As Report informs, this was announced at the first meeting of the Azerbaijan-US Economic Dialogue held in Baku.

The meeting was organized by the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan and the US State Department within the framework of the Baku Energy Week in accordance with the Charter on Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

With the participation of Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Assistant Secretary of State for Economy, Energy and Business Caleb Orr, the Dialogue Protocol was signed, as well as a number of documents in the field of creating digital infrastructure in Azerbaijan, technology transfer and implementation of effective industrial solutions.

Within the framework of the First Economic Dialogue, panel sessions were held dedicated to regional connectivity, trade and transit, energy security, investments, artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure. The first session discussed the TRIPP route, the Middle Corridor, expansion of regional logistics capabilities, investor-friendly business climate in Azerbaijan, as well as new opportunities for American companies opening up due to the country's growing ties with Europe and Central Asia.

At the session on energy security, opportunities for cooperation in the development of the Southern Gas Corridor and increasing energy production were considered. Issues of partnership in diversifying supply chains, including critical minerals, were also discussed.

During the discussions on artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, information was presented on high-tech solutions from the USA. Issues of cooperation in the field of data centers, implementation of AI technologies, development of the regulatory framework and prospects for partnership in this area were considered.
