Rubio: there are signs that Khamenei is alive and participates in politics

There are signs that Iran's supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei is alive and actively participating in the political decision-making process.

This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, reports the Reuters agency.

“There are signs that Mojtaba Khamenei is alive and increasingly participating in decision-making,” the secretary of state indicated.

Rubio also commented on the situation surrounding Iran's blocking of the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, the United States will not lift sanctions on the Islamic Republic until it opens this maritime route.
