Merz gifts Trump German national team jersey

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz gifted U.S. President Donald Trump a German national team jersey at the G7 summit.

New York Post reports.

Before the start of the G7 leaders' meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Merz gave Trump a white German national team jersey with the U.S. president's last name and the number 47 printed on it (Trump is the 47th U.S. president. — RBC Sport).

Trump turned 80 on Sunday.

These days the World Cup is taking place in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, in which the German national team is also participating.
