Former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson diagnosed with cancer
British television presenter and journalist Jeremy Clarkson said that he has been diagnosed with cancer.
He reported this in a new episode of his show Clarkson’s Farm, which aired on Wednesday, BBC reports.
The 66-year-old Clarkson told program participants Caleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland about the diagnosis. According to the TV presenter, the disease is “aggressive,” but it was detected at an early stage.
“I recently disappeared for a while and underwent a biopsy. It turned out to be cancer — it is aggressive, but it was detected very early,” Clarkson said in the episode of the show.
The TV presenter did not specify what type of cancer he was diagnosed with, but reported that as part of the treatment, part of his prostate gland was removed. Clarkson noted that he learned about the diagnosis back in May, but assured his colleagues that he would be “fine.”
At the same time, he added that he would not be able to work in the usual mode for some time.
