Iran national team to file complaint with FIFA over restrictions at 2026 World Cup
The Iranian Football Federation intends to file an official complaint with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) over travel restrictions that put the national team at a disadvantage at the World Cup.
Journalist James Ducker reported this on his page on the social network X.
It is noted that the Iranian national team was allowed to arrive in Los Angeles for the game against the Belgium team, which is scheduled for June 21, only one day before the match, instead of two as requested.
“The Iranian Football Federation believes that such restrictions contradict the principle of ensuring equal conditions for all participating teams and may negatively affect the teams’ preparation process,” the statement says.
