Georgia received guarantees for the supply of more than 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Azerbaijan
The Georgian government, as a result of negotiations with the Azerbaijani side, received guarantees for the supply of more than 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas at a favorable price, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated while presenting the annual report on the government's activities in parliament.
“We held extremely important negotiations with our friendly country, Azerbaijan, regarding gas supply, which is of fundamental importance for our country. As a result, we received a guarantee for the supply of more than 2 billion cubic meters of gas at a favorable price,” the prime minister said.
He particularly noted that this agreement is of great importance from the point of view of strengthening Georgia's energy security.
