Russian house in Chisinau ceases operations
The Russian House in Chisinau has been closed since July 4.
A representative of the Russian House will work as part of the Russian embassy in Moldova.
As Kommersant reports, this was stated by the head of Rossotrudnichestvo Igor Chaika.
Rossotrudnichestvo noted that they will continue work on issues of further presence in Moldova, including the selection of foreign students for study at Russian universities under government quotas, as well as the implementation of projects in the field of international humanitarian cooperation.
In December 2025, the authorities of Moldova decided to close the Russian House in Chisinau, calling it an instrument of Russian influence.
The Russian embassy stated that this step will negatively affect bilateral relations.
