Armed forces of Russia struck with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) at a SOCAR gas station in Ukraine.
As AZERTAC correspondent reports, on the evening of July 5 the SOCAR gas station located in Mykolaiv region came under a drone attack. As a result of the attack, an explosion occurred at the gas station.
SOCAR Energy Ukraine, confirming the information to AZERTAC, reported that three Shahed-type attack UAVs struck the gas station located in the village of Nechayane, Mykolaiv region, at the address: Odesa Street, 2A. The station’s administrative building was damaged as a result of the strike.
According to the company, thanks to the adoption of preventive safety measures, strict adherence to safety instructions during the air alert, and the presence of a shelter, more serious consequences were prevented. Since all employees were in the shelter during the attack, no one was injured.
It is noted that in recent days the Russian army has been carrying out massive air strikes on gas stations located in various regions of Ukraine.
It is recalled that as a result of explosions that occurred last summer in the village of Berezina, Zhytomyr region of Ukraine, two gas stations belonging to the Azerbaijani company SOCAR Energy Ukraine also suffered serious damage.
In addition, on the night of August 8, the armed forces of Russia attacked a SOCAR oil depot located in Odesa region of Ukraine with Shahed-type unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result of the UAV strikes, a fire broke out and four people were seriously injured.
