Edi Rama attracts attention at NATO summit
In addition to discussing key security issues, the NATO summit in Ankara was also remembered for a number of informal episodes involving world leaders.
During the official photo ceremony of the summit participants, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama again attracted attention with his unusual style.
The politician, known for often combining a classic business suit with white sneakers, maintained this tradition at the current event as well.
When Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan approached the place for the group photo, the cameras captured the moment in which he paused for a few seconds to look at the Albanian prime minister's shoes.
After that, both leaders took their places for the official photograph.
Footage of Rama and Erdogan quickly spread in the media and on social networks, sparking active discussion.
At the same time, based on the published video recordings, it is impossible to reliably determine what exactly Erdogan's gaze was connected with, so any assumptions about his reaction remain mere interpretations.
