80 people poisoned at recreation center in Stavropol region

At a recreation center located on the Volchyi Vorota reservoir near the village of Novoselitskoye in Russia's Stavropol region, 80 people sought medical help with signs of an intestinal infection.

This is reported by Interfax, citing law enforcement agencies in the region.

"80 people sought medical help, of which 40 people went to the Novoselitskaya hospital," the agency's source said.

According to him, nine people were hospitalized in the Novoselitskoye district, including two children.

"At the moment, five people remain in the hospital in the district, with no children among them," law enforcement officials added.

The hotel complex announced on social media that it had suspended the admission of guests due to registered cases of people seeking treatment with symptoms of acute intestinal disorder.

A sanitary and epidemiological investigation is underway to determine the causes of the incident.
