Heavy rains and thunderstorms observed in a number of mountainous regions of Azerbaijan

By Sunday morning, heavy rains and thunderstorms are observed in a number of mountainous and foothill regions of Azerbaijan.

This was reported by the National Hydrometeorological Service.

15 mm of precipitation fell in Agstafa, 11 mm in Balakan, 8 mm in Zagatala, 7 mm in Gakh (Sarybash), 6 mm in Gedabey, 2 mm each in Tovuz and Jeyranchol, and 1 mm each in Goygol, Dashkasan, Shamkir, Sheki, Gusar, and Shahdag.

A northwest wind with a speed of up to 20 m/s is observed in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula.
