Iraqi prime minister to make official visit to Iran
Iraqi Prime Minister Ali az-Zeidi will visit Tehran, where a number of bilateral cooperation agreements are expected to be signed.
This is stated in a special announcement by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The document notes that Iraq's deputy foreign minister received Iran's ambassador in Baghdad. During the meeting, the sides discussed bilateral relations as well as the agenda for the Iraqi prime minister's visit to Tehran, scheduled for the end of next week.
It is reported that during the visit the sides will consider signing a number of memoranda of understanding in various areas of cooperation of mutual interest to the two countries.
Recall that the day before, the Iraqi prime minister completed an official visit to the United States, during which he held talks with U.S. President Donald Trump.
