Tokayev says he refuses to be a mediator in the Russia-Ukraine conflict
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated that, despite the proposals, he refuses to be a mediator in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
"Kazakhstan is not a third country, but at the same time, despite all proposals and appeals, I categorically refuse to be a mediator, since I know that Russia is a great country, the Russian people is a great people. And, as they say, without mediators he himself will cope with all the issues that are on the agenda," Tokayev said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Omsk before the start of the Interregional Forum of the two countries.
