In China, over 710,000 people evacuated due to typhoon - video
Authorities in the southern province of Guangdong evacuated more than 710,000 people due to Typhoon Hunxia (international name - Noul).
This was reported by the newspaper Nanfang Ribao.
Most people were temporarily relocated in the urban districts of Huizhou (205,000) and Shanwei (192,000).
Earlier, the provincial headquarters for flood and drought control reported the evacuation of 340,000 people.
Typhoon Hunxia with wind speeds of 45 m/s hit Guangdong province early in the morning on July 26. The element continues to move north, gradually weakening. In the near future, heavy rains are expected in the provinces of Guangdong, Jiangxi and Hunan.
