Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation and American organization sign memorandum
Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation (AFB) and the American organization Wrestling for Peace have signed a memorandum.
The event, organized at the National Gymnastics Arena, was attended by officials from both sides, guests and other delegates.
Executive Director of the Wrestling for Peace organization Dan Russell met with AFB Secretary General Parviz Piriyev and expressed gratitude for the cooperation.
Azerbaijani and American wrestlers then exchanged gifts. Members of the U.S. U-17 national team presented posters with autographs to their peers from the Zafar wrestling club. In addition, Public Diplomacy Advisor at the U.S. Embassy in Baku Mark Huckef presented badges with the flags of both countries to members of the U.S. and Azerbaijan U-17 national teams and the Zafar club.
In conclusion, a memorandum was signed between the Wrestling for Peace organization and the AFB.
It should be noted that the U-17 World Wrestling Championship will be held in Baku from July 27 to August 2.
