In Rostov-on-Don, one person dies due to bad weather, 13 more injured - video
In the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don, one person died and 13 were injured due to unfavorable weather conditions.
This was reported by the head of the city administration, Alexander Skryabin, on social media.
"Unfortunately, the bad weather brought not only destruction: 13 people were injured, seven of them were hospitalized, and one died," he wrote.
It is noted that about 100 incidents were recorded due to the consequences of the downpour and squally wind. Rescue teams worked all night to eliminate the consequences of the bad weather.
"The consequences of 26 incidents have been eliminated, 73 incidents are under control. The area is being cleared," Skryabin wrote, adding that the water supply in the city has been fully restored, but there is still no electricity supply.
Strong winds, thunderstorms and heavy rain hit the Rostov region on Saturday evening. The bad weather led to disruptions in life support systems.
