In Armenia, brother of head of 'Civil Contract' faction beaten

The brother of the head of the parliamentary faction "Civil Contract" Hayk Konjoryan — Avet Konjoryan — was subjected to an attack.

Konjoryan was brutally beaten by a group of people near the entrance of his house. During the attack, he fell into a small canal, but the attackers continued to beat him, reports Sputnik Armenia.

In the Investigative Committee, Sputnik Armenia was informed that a criminal case has been initiated on the fact of the incident under articles on causing physical impact and hooliganism. One person has been detained, the identities of the other participants in the incident are being established.

Avet Konjoryan himself confirmed in a conversation with the media that he was subjected to a nighttime attack, noting that he feels very bad.
