Trump calls meetings with Netanyahu and Zelensky very good
U.S. President Donald Trump said that his meetings with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky went well.
"It was a very good meeting! Obviously, many important topics were discussed," Trump wrote on the Truth Social social network about the meeting with Netanyahu.
He also wrote about the meeting with Zelensky that it went "very well." "A lot was discussed," Trump noted.
In turn, the Israeli prime minister called the past meeting "one of the best conversations" with Trump.
"It was an opportunity to exchange ideas, as well as coordinate actions on issues that are important for the security and future of Israel," Netanyahu said, quoted by Israeli media.
A high-ranking official from the prime minister's entourage told Times of Israel shortly after the meeting that they "spoke about all areas, primarily about Iran."
Meanwhile, the head of public diplomacy in the Israeli prime minister's office, Tzipi Hotovely, told Israeli media at a briefing on Tuesday that the issue of Mount Pikaks, under which an Iranian nuclear facility is presumably located, was not raised.
Hotovely insisted that "Netanyahu's goal was to deepen coordination, and not to push the president to one action or another."
"A deep understanding was reached at the meeting that we are striving for the same goal," she said.
Hotovely noted that there was no pressure from Trump at the meeting for Israel to move forward in the restoration of Gaza, as well as with the aim of withdrawing IDF forces from Syria or Lebanon.
She added that the possibility of Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords was discussed.
Earlier, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt reported that Trump's meetings with Prime Minister Netanyahu and Zelensky on Tuesday brought good results.
"President Trump completed meetings in the Oval Office with President Zelensky and Prime Minister Netanyahu. Both meetings were positive and productive!" she wrote on the social network X.
