Pakistan says talks on settling the U.S.-Iran conflict are continuing

Talks on settling the conflict between the United States and Iran are continuing, and Pakistan is doing everything possible to ensure compliance with the terms of the Islamabad memorandum.

This was stated by the official spokesman of the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, Tahir Andrabi.

"Let me add that talks between the parties are continuing with the aim of normalizing the situation, especially in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as de-escalation," he said at a briefing. As the diplomat emphasized, Pakistan is making every effort "to eliminate all disagreements in the spirit of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding and the joint Pakistani-Qatari statement of June 22."

The Foreign Ministry spokesman called on the United States and Iran "to show restraint and adhere to their commitments to resume talks at the technical level."
