Iran announces strike on U.S. military facilities in Bahrain

The Iranian Army has struck critical infrastructure facilities at the U.S. military base Sheikh Isa in Bahrain.

"During the twenty-sixth stage of the operation <...> strike drones of the Iranian Army hit electric generators, the navigation system, as well as administrative and logistics buildings of the U.S. Army at the Sheikh Isa base in Bahrain," the army press service said in a statement.

A new round of escalation in the U.S.-Iranian conflict began on July 8. For the first time since the signing of the memorandum between Washington and Tehran, the U.S. Armed Forces carried out several series of strikes on the territory of the Islamic Republic, allegedly in response to an attack on a merchant vessel in the Strait of Hormuz. On the same day, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the end of the truce with Iran. As part of its retaliatory actions, Tehran began attacking American facilities located on the territory of Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, the UAE, and Oman. On July 29, Trump stated that the United States intends to continue strikes on Iran.
