As the publication notes, this option is among others being discussed by U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who are determined to increase economic pressure on Iran.
It is specified that they discussed increasing pressure on Iran by «kinetic and non-kinetic means» at a meeting at the White House, which took place on July 28.
«What if we simply block access to the territory? Suppose Iran cannot import anything and cannot export anything. Anything could happen,» a senior Israeli official told the newspaper.
Earlier, Trump stated that the United States could resume its military operation against Iran. According to him, this will happen if they do not get everything they want.
