Today six athletes from Azerbaijan will compete at the world freestyle wrestling championship
The world wrestling championship among boys under 17 years old (U-17) continues in Baku.
On the sixth day of the competition, six Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers will take to the mat.
In the consolation match in the weight category up to 48 kg, Huseyn Rzazade will meet Amirali Faz (Iran).
Tunar Guliyev (71 kg) will compete in the qualification against Adilet Risbay (Kazakhstan) and Elgun Kerimli (92 kg) against Saksham Fnu (India).
Tunar Gasanov (45 kg), Ibrahim Gasanov (51 kg) and Eljan Gasanov (60 kg) will start wrestling from the 1/8 finals.
Earlier, Ali Djavadly (45 kg), Abdurrahman Huseynli (51 kg) and Isfahan Gasanov (80 kg) became silver medalists among Greco-Roman wrestlers. Bronze medals were won by Omer Salmanov (48 kg), Elmir Cherkazov (60 kg) and Orkhan Khabibli (65 kg).
The world championship is taking place at the National Gymnastics Arena. About 700 young wrestlers from more than 60 countries are participating in the competitions.
