Iran's foreign minister warns Britain against assisting aggression against the country

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated during a telephone conversation with British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband that any assistance to parties carrying out attacks on Iran is unacceptable and qualifies under international law as an act of aggression.
In the conversation with his British counterpart, Araghchi criticized the recent designation of Iranian armed forces as prohibited organizations in Britain, as well as London's actions in the context of conflicts involving the United States and Israel, describing Britain's position as unfounded and in need of revision.
According to the head of Iran's diplomatic service, the escalation in the region was caused by military actions by the United States and Israel against Iran. He stated that Tehran had participated in negotiations in good faith and reached a memorandum on a ceasefire on June 18, but the United States had violated its commitments.
Araghchi also reported Iran's intention to work with Oman to develop mechanisms for regulating navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that attempts by third countries to obstruct this would only complicate the situation. He recalled that providing one's territory or infrastructure for an attack on a third country gives the attacked state the right to self-defense.
British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, for his part, stated that the United Kingdom is not participating in the war against Iran and advocates for a diplomatic resolution. He stressed the importance of maintaining dialogue with Tehran to reduce tensions in the region and normalize relations.
