Number of migrants killed in Spain reaches 72
The number of migrants who died while attempting to reach the Spanish enclave city of Ceuta from Morocco has reached 72 people.
As El Pais reports, this was stated by Ceuta government representative Miguel Ángel Pérez Triano.
According to him, local authorities will work on speeding up the registration of persons who illegally entered the autonomous city in recent days, in order to carry out their prompt return to their homeland.
At the moment, the situation in Ceuta has stabilized. Police and military are controlling the situation on the streets.
It was previously reported that at least 57 illegal migrants died while trying to swim from Morocco to Spain.
