Heads of Armenia's Interior Ministry, Defense Ministry and Foreign Ministry reappointed to their posts

Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has signed decrees on the reappointment of the ministers of defense, foreign affairs, and internal affairs.

The decrees have been published on the official website of the head of the republic, Armenian media report.

"To appoint Suren Papikyan as Minister of Defense of Armenia <...>. To appoint Ararat Mirzoyan as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia <...>. To appoint Arpine Sargsyan as Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia," the documents say.

According to the results of the voting in the parliamentary elections held on June 7, the ruling Civil Contract party of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received 49.7% of the vote, businessman Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia bloc received 23.2%, and former President Robert Kocharyan's Armenia bloc received 9.9%. Following the elections, the Civil Contract party single-handedly formed the new government of Armenia.
