Explosion occurs at a gas station in Armenia

An explosion occurred at a gas station on the road leading to Sardarapat in Armenia's Armavir region, the Rescue Service of Armenia's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.

According to Armenian media, the report of the incident came in on August 6 at 12:25. Two firefighting and rescue crews were dispatched to the scene. According to preliminary data, two people were injured.

The two people injured in the explosion at the gas station were taken to the "Armavir" medical center by passing vehicles with the help of citizens.

Information about the incident was passed on to the regional investigative department of Armenia's Investigative Committee.

An investigative team arrived at the scene, and criminal proceedings have been initiated over the explosion.

According to media reports, the explosion occurred in an underground gasoline tank on the territory of the gas station.
