UEFA replaces refereeing team for the Sabah – Aarhus return match in the Champions League
UEFA has replaced the refereeing team appointed for the return leg of the third qualifying round of the Champions League between the clubs Sabah and Aarhus.
As Report informs, UEFA had initially approved a group of Portuguese referees led by João Pinheiro for this match, but later decided to review that appointment.
The match in Baku will be officiated by French referee Willy Delajod. His assistants will be Erwan Finjean and Valentin Evrard, while Eric Wattellier will take on the duties of fourth official. Bastien Dechepy has been appointed as VAR referee, with the role of AVAR assigned to Nicolas Rainville.
To recall, the return match between Sabah and Aarhus is scheduled for August 11 and will be held at the Bank Respublika Arena stadium. In the first match, the Danish club won with a score of 2:1.
