In China about 390 thousand people evacuated due to approaching typhoon Dolphin

In China, about 390 thousand people were evacuated in connection with the approach of typhoon Dolphin to Zhejiang province.

It is expected that typhoon Dolphin, moving at a speed of about 162 kilometers per hour toward the eastern coast of China, will bring strong winds and heavy rains, as a result of which floods and landslides are possible.

By order of the authorities of Zhejiang province, who warned the population about the risk of landslides, about 390 thousand people were evacuated in the city of Taizhou.

In the province, maritime activities have been suspended, including ferry and cruise services.

According to local media reports, 60% of flights have been canceled at Shanghai airports — Hongqiao and Pudong — which amounts to more than 1,300 flights.

Authorities also reported that about 30 thousand people were evacuated from "dangerous zones" in Shanghai.
