Iran continues to demand compensation from Ukraine
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said that Tehran does not accept Kyiv's excuses regarding the incident involving the Iranian vessel and intends to obtain compensation, IRNA reports.
He emphasized that if Ukraine does not compensate for the damage caused by the attack, Iran will take retaliatory measures.
"We are not satisfied with the Ukrainian side's claims that this incident was unintentional," the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman noted.
Baghaei added that, given the acknowledgment of the attack by high-ranking Ukrainian officials, Kyiv is obliged to pay compensation. "If Ukraine does not compensate for the damage on its own, Iran will take appropriate measures to ensure the payment of compensation," he concluded.
