Fire in Riyadh turns into disaster: 16 Bangladeshi workers killed

In Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, a fire at a furniture factory turned into a disaster.

Sixteen Bangladeshi workers who were trapped in the factory, which was quickly engulfed in flames, died.

The incident occurred at a furniture factory operating in the Musa Sanaya industrial zone in Riyadh.

The fire, which broke out for a reason not yet determined, spread quickly due to the flammable materials inside the building and engulfed the entire structure. Upon the alarm, numerous firefighting and medical teams were dispatched to the area. After the fire was brought under control through the efforts of the teams, rescuers who entered the building found the lifeless bodies of 16 Bangladeshi workers.

Following the fire, Bangladesh's Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment issued a written statement. The statement said that 10 of the workers who died were from Naogaon, while the remaining 6 workers were from the Natore and Rajshahi regions.
