Azerbaijani wrestlers win 5 medals in Bucharest

The Ion Cornianu & Ladislau Simon wrestling tournament was held in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.

As reported by the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation, members of the national Greco-Roman wrestling team represented the country at the memorial.

Under the leadership of head coach Nureddin Rajabov and coach Rovshan Bayramov, the Azerbaijani wrestlers won 5 medals at the traditional competition. Farid Sadykhly (55 kg), Farid Khalilov (67 kg), Gurban Gurbanov (87 kg) and Mazaim Mardanov (130 kg) climbed to the top step of the podium. Ilkin Gurbanov (63 kg) won a bronze medal.

In the team competition, the Azerbaijan national team took 2nd place.
