IRGC explains why Khamenei does not appear in public

Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei does not appear in public solely for security reasons.

This was stated by Mohammad Reza Naqdi, adviser to the commander-in-chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the armed forces).

"This strategy is his own affair. Our enemies are criminals and do not obey the law," he said in an interview with the PBS television channel, answering a question about why Khamenei does not appear in public. "Naturally, it is for security reasons. There is certainly no other reason." At the same time, the adviser to the IRGC commander-in-chief avoided answering the question of whether he had seen Khamenei in person.

Mojtaba Khamenei has not appeared in public even once since the beginning of the military operation by the United States and Israel against Iran, during which his father, the previous supreme leader of the Islamic republic, Ali Khamenei, was killed. As has been noted more than once in Tehran, there is no threat to Mojtaba Khamenei's health.
