Erdogan comments on the defense pact between Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that the defense agreement between Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan is not directed against any country and should be seen as a tool for strengthening regional security.

Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan have concluded a defense agreement, with the leaders of the three countries signing the document. According to the newspaper Türkiye, the joint defense pact provides for cooperation in the sphere of intelligence sharing and the coordination of regional security.

"Our agreement should not be seen as the creation of a bloc against any country," Erdogan said in an interview with Ghassan Charbel, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat, with a translation of the Turkish leader's statements presented by the television channel CNN Türk.
