Iran denies Trump's claims of full control over the Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Strait of Hormuz control authority (PGSA) has rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's statement that the United States fully controls the Strait of Hormuz.

"The statements and repeated reports by U.S. officials that the Strait of Hormuz is no longer blocked do not change reality: the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and will not be reopened until Iran's conditions are accepted," the PGSA said in a statement on the social network X.

The U.S. president has repeatedly said in recent days that the Strait of Hormuz is under full American control.

"The U.S. fully controls the Strait of Hormuz. I think we will keep it! And Iran can do nothing about it," Trump wrote on Wednesday on the social network Truth Social.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, said that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed until the United States changes its behavior.
