Power outages occurred in four Central Asian countries at once

Power outages occurred in a number of regions of Uzbekistan due to an accident in the power system of one of the Central Asian countries, which affected the power system of the entire region, the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan reported.

"An accident in the power system of a neighboring country affected the power system of Central Asia. As a result, there was a power outage in Surkhandarya and some other regions of Uzbekistan," the agency reports.

Power supply has already begun to be restored in stages.

According to media reports, the failure occurred in the power system of Tajikistan. Emergency outages occurred in Alma-Ata and the Almaty region of Kazakhstan, as well as in Kyrgyzstan.
