American actress Hayden Panettiere, known for her roles in the series "Heroes" and "Nashville," has died at the age of 36.

As PEOPLE reports, the actress's death was confirmed by her representative. He called Panettiere "an incredible light and force of nature" who brought love and joy to her loved ones, colleagues, and fans around the world.

The cause and circumstances of her death have not yet been disclosed.

Hayden Panettiere began her acting career while still a child. She gained widespread fame for her role as Claire Bennet in the science fiction series "Heroes," which aired from 2006 to 2010. The actress also played the lead role of Juliette Barnes in the musical drama "Nashville," for which she was nominated twice for a Golden Globe Award. Her work also includes the films "Remember the Titans," "Ice Princess," "Scream 4," and "Scream 6."

In recent years, Panettiere had once again been actively appearing in the public sphere. In May 2026, her memoir This Is Me: A Reckoning was released, in which the actress spoke candidly about childhood fame, personal struggles, and difficult periods of her life.

Panettiere's last Instagram post was published on July 27. In the photograph, the actress posed together with photographer Randall Slavin, accompanying the image with words about good times and friends.

Recall that from 2009 Hayden dated boxer Wladimir Klitschko, and their engagement took place in 2013. In August 2018, it became known that the couple had split up. The former couple has a daughter, Kaya Evdokia Klitschko (born December 9, 2014).
