Filming of the part of the adventure film "Armour of God 4: Ultimatum" that took place in Azerbaijan has been successfully completed.

This is the largest foreign film production project ever carried out in Azerbaijan, 1news.az reports, citing ARKA.

Attracting foreign filmmakers to Azerbaijan is one of the main directions of state policy in the field of cinema, defined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. One of the goals of the Decree "On certain issues related to the production of cinematographic and other audiovisual works on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan," signed by the head of state on May 29, 2025, was to attract foreign filmmakers to the country. To this end, the application of various mechanisms was envisaged, including the cash rebate mechanism, which provides for the reimbursement of part of the expenses incurred by foreign filmmakers during filming.

Over the past year, intensive work has been carried out to implement the tasks arising from this Decree. The Azerbaijan Film Commission, established by the Ministry of Culture and designed to encourage filming in the country, has actively presented to foreign filmmakers the new opportunities offered by Azerbaijan. The first results of this work are already evident.

An important role in the successful filming of the Azerbaijani part of the film "Armour of God 4: Ultimatum" was played by the coordinated interaction of various state bodies, organized by the Ministry of Culture. In particular, the Ministries of Digital Development and Transport, Internal Affairs, Emergency Situations, as well as other agencies - a total of 26 official organizations that provided support to the film crew.

"The successful and unhindered conduct of the filming process will allow Azerbaijan to become an even more attractive venue for the implementation of other international film projects. This, in turn, will contribute to the further growth of interest of the international film industry in our country," ARKA notes.

The implementation of global film projects in Azerbaijan also has a positive impact on the development of the local film industry. More than 200 local specialists and dozens of Azerbaijani companies were involved in the production of the film "Armour of God 4: Ultimatum." Such projects allow local filmmakers to gain new experience and contribute to the strengthening of international cooperation.

Filming world blockbusters in Azerbaijan is extremely effective in terms of promoting the country on the international arena, including expanding its tourism potential. After the film's release, tens of millions of Jackie Chan fans around the world, especially in the countries of Southeast Asia, will have the opportunity to discover Azerbaijan as a new tourist destination.

After the completion of filming of the Azerbaijani part of the film "Armour of God 4: Ultimatum," Jackie Chan met with representatives of state bodies and companies that supported the project.

The actor personally thanked all agencies and organizations for the support provided and presented them with commemorative gifts.
