Russia awaits action from Armenia
Russia expects a report from Armenia on sanitary inspections and a clear plan for complying with EAEU requirements, Rosselkhoznadzor told Izvestia.
"Rosselkhoznadzor expects the Armenian side to provide the results of the investigation and information on the measures taken, as well as the algorithm of actions proposed by the Armenian side to comply with the veterinary and phytosanitary requirements of the EAEU," the agency stated.
Since the beginning of May, Russia has begun introducing restrictions on imports of Armenian agricultural products. Later, the head of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Oksana Lut, stated that Armenia would be able to resume agricultural supplies at the previous volume only if it strictly complies with the veterinary and phytosanitary standards of the EAEU.
