Turkish Ministry of National Defense: no Turkish military delegation was at the air base in Syria during the Israeli attack
No Turkish military delegation was at the Abu al-Duhur military air base in Syria's Idlib province before or during the Israeli attack on the facility.
This was stated in a statement by Turkey's Ministry of National Defense.
"Neither before nor during Israel's attack on the Abu al-Duhur air base in Syria was there any Turkish military delegation at the base," the statement of the ministry said.
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense emphasized that Israel's cessation of such "reckless attacks" is extremely important for ensuring peace and stability in Syria and the region as a whole. The ministry also called on Israel to comply with the norms of international law.
Israel carried out airstrikes on the Abu al-Duhur air base in the east of Syria's Idlib province on August 18. Earlier, Turkey's Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the attack, stating that Israel continues to strike Syria's infrastructure and violate its territorial integrity.
