In Armenia, a stork triggered a fire at a thermal power plant
A fire broke out on the grounds of the Yerevan Thermal Power Plant in Armenia, caused, according to preliminary data, by a stork that struck high-voltage power lines.

According to the information, the incident occurred yesterday, August 21.
According to preliminary data, there were no fatalities or injuries. At the same time, medical assistance was provided on site to approximately six employees of the enterprise and firefighters whose condition worsened due to smoke exposure.
As a result of the fire, about three hectares of territory covered with dry grass, wooden structures, and a wooden trailer used by the enterprise burned down.
According to specialists, the stork struck the wires strung along a high-voltage pole, which caused an electric arc and started the fire. After extinguishing the blaze, firefighters found the charred stork.
