Russia and Ukraine carried out an exchange of citizens in Belarus

An exchange of Russian and Ukrainian citizens under the "10 for 10" formula took place in the Gomel region of Belarus. This was reported by the Belarusian television channel "Perviy Informatsionny."

According to its information, on the instructions of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, a mechanism was employed for the return home of 10 citizens of Ukraine and 10 servicemen of the Russian Federation who had previously been held in captivity.

It is noted that the humanitarian mission took place in strict compliance with the norms of international humanitarian law.
